Welcome to EPS

Edgerton Public School is located in Edgerton, Minnesota. We are a small public school with approximately 425 students in grades PK-12. We have many quality programs in our school that provide students with the opportunity to excel in Academics, the Arts, and Athletics. With our exceptional staff, we are implementing best practices to make sure all of our students have the education needed to prepare them for whichever path they choose after high school.

We have two sections throughout elementary to provide the best student to teacher ratio for optimal learning. Small classes allow us to provide more small group and one-on-one time for our students. We are very excited to let families know that we have a voluntary preschool program that will allow us to have free preschool for all children who turn 4 by September 1. We have two sections that will allow our teacher and paraprofessional more one-on-one time with students. At the junior high/high school, we have many sports and extra-curricular opportunities. Sports offerings include football, volleyball, cross country (paired with SWC), boys & girls basketball, baseball (paired with SWC), softball (paired with SWC), track (paired with SWC), golf (paired with SWC) trap shooting (spring) and cheerleading. Extra-curricular activities include FFA (through Ag), FFA Trap Shooting (fall), knowledge bowl (JH & HS), math league, speech (JH & HS), fall and spring plays, one-act play, band, marching band (summer only), pep band, jazz band, choir, National Honor Society and yearbook.

The Dutchmen also boast State Championships in Boys Basketball (1960), Football (2011), and Softball (2016, 2019, & 2023 - Edgerton/Southwest MN Christian). The football team also placed 2nd in 2014, while the softball team took 2nd place at state in-between championships in 2017 and 2018. The 1960 Boys Basketball State Championship was very special as it was a one-class system where Edgerton had to play all larger schools on their way to a state title.
